The goal of Voter Services is to increase election awareness and voting in Yavapai County. Voter Services focuses on registering people to vote and motivating registered voters to vote by providing election and polling place information. In addition, members attend community events to discuss the League’s mission of empowering voters and defending democracy.
Voter Registration
Throughout the year, Voter Services sponsors voter registration drives in the community and at various events in Central Yavapai County. At these events, Voter Services provides voter information and registration material.
Recent Events - Voter registration events have been held at Bradshaw Mountain High School, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott Women's March, Prescott La Fiesta, and various senior living facilities. Voter Registration Training - Periodically the Yavapai County Voter Registration Department holds voter registration training in-person events. However , you do not need to be trained to participate in voter registration events because there will always be experienced League members in attendance. See the Event Calendar for training dates.
Educating Voters
Every year, we host events and programs to educate voters about elected officials at the federal, state, and local levels. We also distribute educational materials about state and local ballot issues. Through print and online resources, we equip voters with essential information about the election process, including polling place hours, locations, absentee or early voting rules, voter registration deadlines, ID requirements and more. The LWV-sponsored website, VOTE411.org is a one-stop-shop for voter information and a great tool for all citizens.
